A former Titusville man received high accolades for his work of teaching students at Cranberry High School that finding a form of physical fitness they enjoy is a path to a better life.

JC Sports Houston has signed a partnership with IHT Spirit to incorporate wearable technology into their youth sports and training classes.

The IHT Spirit System® combines wrist-based heart rate technology with robust software that work together to simultaneously measure, track and correlate a students’ health data with their academic success. Students enrolled in the Simon Youth Coast High School Academy (Huntington Beach, Calif.) PE program use the IHT Spirit Mobile App to ensure they log enough activity to stay healthy between their once a week PE classes.

Mayor gives four local schools $250 for PE equipment and programs

REXBURG − Mayor Jerry Merrill gave money to several Madison County Schools on Thursday, Jan. 17 at Madison Middle School.

Mayor Merrill presented four checks, each worth $250, to Adams Elementary, Kennedy Elementary, Lincoln Elementary and Madison Middle School. The money will be used for physical education equipment and programs. Read More
