Physical Education Teacher at Mohonasen Middle School

Doug graduated from S.U.N.Y. Cortland in upstate N.Y. in 1992 with a B.S. in Physical Education. He started teaching Physical Education and Health in the Bradford Central School District in central New York in September of 1992. 

In 1997, Doug completed his Masters Degree in Health Education at S.U.N.Y. Cortland. He then got married and moved to the Capital region of upstate New York. In September of 1997, he started teaching Physical Education in the Mohonasen Central School District and continues teaching to this day. He and his wife have 3 children ages 11, 9, and 6 and love spending their free time outdoors with their beautiful family!

In 2011, Mohonasen was awarded a 1.8 million dollar Carol M. White P.E.P. Grant to help improve their existing Physical Education program. Doug and his colleagues have used that grant to travel around the country meeting the nation’s best educators and learning about the most innovative technologies. This is how Doug connected with IHT!
